A variety of community organizations will be available to hand out literature and freebies. Look for the Grosse Pointe Alumni & Friends yellow tent for popcorn and hot chocolate. Don’t forget to purchase your 100th anniversary commemorative water bottle (a limited supply available) for $5 at the table with the centennial banner. National Honor Society and Varsity Club volunteers will be on hand to meet and greet guests and hand out rub-on tattoos for our little future Blue Devils and Norsemen.
Grosse Pointe South’s Mothers’ Club, North’s Parents’ Club, and North and South Athletic Boosters are selling spirit wear and the Grosse Pointe Foundation for Public Education is raffling off North and South baskets courtesy of the respective school stores. Grosse Pointe South Choir boosters also is hosting a raffle along with a chili cookoff. Get three samplers for $5 and vote for your favorite!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy live music courtesy of the The Boys of Summer, a local band made up of students in the district. Head to Estia Greek Street Food or Raquel’s Cocina food trucks along Fisher Road to grab dinner or Aruba Freeze organic ice cream for dessert and grab a table under the tent.
The doors to Cleminson Hall will be open for guests to enjoy archival photos, artifacts, theater and band costumes, and video footage over the years courtesy of North and South’s TV production program. Capture the moment with a selfie on the spiral staircase or other iconic location. Then head on over to the Boll Athletic Center to check out the History Hallway on your way to the game.
Tickets for the game are $5 for adults and students in 6th grade and up and will be sold at the gate. Food is not permitted in the stadium and students will not be permitted to leave the game and return. No student under 9th grade will be permitted to enter without a paying adult.
